Our client, a banking institution in Livermore, CA is looking for a skilled Card Services Leader to join their team on a 4-month contract basis. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with credit and debit card programs, card processing, and fraud prevention. This role requires specific experience with programs such as Velera, Symitar and Visa Online. This role is 100% onsite in Livermore and the hourly pay rate is between $45.00 - $52.00.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the end-to-end operations of card services, including mail order and instant issuance of debit and credit cards, cardholder dispute resolution, fraud detection, and proactive risk management.
- Handle and resolve cardholder disputes in line with regulatory standards.
- Stay current on laws and regulations impacting the banking and payment card sectors.
- Manage instant card issuance and expedited card requests.
- Assess credit and debit card performance, suggesting improvements for portfolio efficiency.
- Monitor alerts and usage restrictions to prevent fraud.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure high-quality, efficient service for members and maintain positive relationships.
- Acquire in-depth knowledge of credit union products, adhering to applicable regulations and internal policies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience with 4+ years in a Lead role internally, 8+ years externally; or High School diploma/GED with 6+ years internally, 10+ years externally.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with Symitar Card Processing required.
- Monitor the Non-Mon Report for Daily positing exceptions
- Monitor Amplifi files for posting
- Balance GL’s and upload to Accounting Share Drive
- Experience with Velera/PSCU Optis required
- Velera Admin
- Monitor Plastic Inventory
- Quick Assist Functions- Reports- Tickets
- Experience with Visa Online
- Monthly Visa MAR Report
- Life Cycle Management Activate Tokens
- Visa Quarterly Report
- Experience with DTS (Centrix Dispute Tracking System)
- Admin and update Claims
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- May be tasked with lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling up to 25 lbs., if able to do so.
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time and walk/stand for moderate periods of time.
- Must be able to bend at the knees and waist frequently
- Must be able to repetitively use a telephone and a computer mouse and keyboard.
