Senior Business Systems Analyst – Pasadena
Sierra Cybernetics is seeking a senior-level BSA to work for us supporting our City of Pasadena government client for implementation of a Computer Maintenance Management System.
This project involves the deployment of a new Asset Management system, a Capital Project Management system, and a replacement Inventory Management system. Professional Business Systems Analysts are required to assist with as-is process mapping, system design preparation, testing, deployment, and end-user training.
This is a temporary position with an expected duration of 6 to 18 months.
Open to US citizens, green card holders, and H1-b visa holders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop gap analysis and detailed documentation.
- Document and diagram functional and technical process flows.
- Conduct research and analyze statistical data to make recommendations on administrative and operational problems, policies, and procedures.
- Provide support for data audits for the department.
- Actively participate in solution testing.
- Work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and coordinate with various stakeholders to achieve project goals.
- Serve as a central point of coordination with IT on significant application/hardware problems and change request issues that require assignment of resources.
- Evaluate solutions and CMMS system vendor deliverables for accuracy and completeness.
- Develop and maintain system user documentation.
- Provide user support and training, including developing training materials, handouts, desktop procedures, and conducting training classes and one-on-one sessions.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in business or public administration, management information systems, or a closely related field.
- 5+ years of professional business systems analysis experience in a large-scale system replacement project.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in implementing business rules through configuration and setup.
DESIRABLE SKILLS
- Experience with Work Management/Asset Management Systems.
- Experience with KloudGin Asset Management or Trimble Cityworks or similar GIS-centric asset lifecycle management system.
- Experience in the Electric and Water utility sectors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project.
Understanding of SQL code/statements.
