Job Summary
Under general supervision, the Senior Business Systems Analyst leads Supply Chain IT projects, performs data analysis, complex master data updates, and creates reports/dashboards. Formulates and defines systems change scope and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. Perform functional and technical analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications. Guides and advises less-experienced Business System Analysts. Competent to work at the highest technical level of most phases of systems analysis while considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment. Performs daily operational tasks in ERP and other supply chain information systems.
Essential Job Functions
- Analyze business requirements
- Create Oracle OTBI/BI, Tableau reports and Dashboards
- Lead technology projects with supplier and other departments
- Revise existing (problematic) system logic
- Evaluate most business implications of technology on the current business environment
Required Qualifications
- Experience with multiple software applications, systems analysis/design, Integration/design, or web applications/design.
- Familiarity with tools and concepts of process improvement desired, including the following: methods analysis, work sampling, statistical analysis, financial analysis, and systems analysis.
- Must be able to prioritize, organize, and assess work in order to meet aggressive deadlines and to cope in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of working well in a diverse, multi-disciplinary team and successfully interacting with others at all levels of the organization, including remote teams.
- Must have issue tracking and resolution skills, and the ability
- Solid skills in documenting and analyzing business processes.
- Proven skills in problem solving.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, and effective presentation skills.
- Experience developing presentations for project work.
- Ability to plan and facilitate meetings with diverse participants.
- Ability to maintain a professional attitude and demeanor in both normal and pressure situations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field is required.
- Master’s or 2 years of experience with information system software solutions strongly preferred.
- Ability to query and analyze data from ERP, Inventory and Requisitioning systems, Data Warehouse, and other supply chain information systems
- Ability to manage, optimize, and automate information flow in supply chain information systems.
- Proven skills in using Tableau, Excel, Access, SQL, and other Business Intelligence tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Practical experience in a specific area of healthcare operations, Healthcare research or Healthcare teaching desired.

Compensation & Benefits Overview
UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.
The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
