About the Job
As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will collect, analyze, and interpret large sets of data to provide valuable insights and support data-driven decision-making within the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and align data analysis efforts with organizational goals. You will be responsible for translating complex data into understandable and actionable information, enabling stakeholders to make informed business decisions.
Requirements:
- 3-7 years of experience in IT project management, product delivery, or a similar business analytics role.
- Working knowledge or experience with the following:
- Project Management: (Agile/SCRUM, PMP, etc.)
- Data visualization tools: Tableau, Power BI (preferred), Qlik
- Data manipulation, analysis, and visualization using tools: SQL, Python, R
- Statistical techniques and concepts: regression analysis, hypothesis testing, data mining, machine learning algorithms and predictive modeling techniques
- Understanding of data warehousing architecture and data pipeline development process
- Experience with IT service management (ITIL: service request, incident, change, asset/configuration item, knowledge management) preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Business Requirements Gathering
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and requirements.
- Conduct interviews and workshops to elicit and document business needs.
- Translate business requirements into data analysis plans and strategies.
- Business Process Analysis
- Analyze existing business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct gap analyses to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
- Make recommendations for process enhancements and optimization.
- Data Collection and Processing
- Gather and consolidate data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Develop and implement data collection systems and strategies
- Clean and preprocess data to remove inconsistencies and errors
- Support global data warehousing operation and contribute to data pipeline development process
- Data Analysis and Interpretation
- Perform in-depth analysis using statistical techniques and tools
- Identify patterns, trends, and relationships in complex data sets
- Present findings and insights in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders
- Reporting and Visualization
- Create reports and visualizations to communicate data-driven insights effectively
- Develop dashboards and data visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Excel
