Job Summary:
& We are actively seeking a Senior Business Intelligence SQL Server Developer with a profound depth of expertise in Enterprise Data Warehousing, intricate data modeling, and advanced SQL Server backend development. The right candidate will demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft BI stack (SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI) and AWS cloud environments, proving capable of architecting and perpetuating extensible data pipelines, ETL frameworks, and comprehensive data models. This role demands superior technical proficiency paired with the ability to manage production support operations within the Pacific Time framework.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Engineering:
Architect, implement, and refine advanced data warehousing architectures to support enterprise-grade applications.
Engineer scalable ETL processes leveraging SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and potentially other orchestration tools, prioritizing efficiency and performance.
Develop and maintain complex data models, both normalized and dimensional (star/snowflake schemas), to streamline data analytics efforts.
Production Support:
Deliver high-level production support, ensuring SQL Server environments maintain optimal performance, availability, and reliability.
Diagnose and rectify critical database issues using deep dive analysis; employ performance tuning through indexing, query rewriting, and execution plan analysis.
Oversee secure version control practices for SQL scripts, stored procedures, and database configurations using GitHub, ensuring auditability and compliance.
Business Intelligence:
Exploit Microsoft BI tools to produce detailed analytical reports and dynamic, visually engaging dashboards that provide actionable business insights.
Engage directly with business stakeholders to extract and translate business requirements into robust BI solutions, employing techniques such as data storytelling.
Safeguard data integrity and enforce data governance standards, including compliance with regulatory frameworks and best practice policies.
Collaboration:
Foster robust collaboration and communication within cross-functional teams to streamline project workflows and synchronize BI development activities.
Spearhead the transition of version control systems from Azure DevOps to GitHub, facilitating a seamless change management process.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree is strongly favored.
Experience:
Over 7-12 years of rigorous Business Intelligence development and SQL Server backend proficiency.
Deep, hands-on experience with the SQL Server suite, data modeling, ETL process lifecycle, and AWS cloud offerings including, but not limited to, RDS and EC2 infrastructure services.
Coding experience with Python, Java, or Scala for supplementary data processing tasks is desirable.
Previous involvement in sectors such as Healthcare, Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), or Financial Systems will be a significant asset.
Skills:
Mastery of SQL Server and T-SQL, with a strong aptitude for query optimization, index management, and performance monitoring.
Expertise in SSIS and familiarity with other ETL platforms, process monitoring, and job scheduling.
Strongly developed communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to a varied audience.
Demonstrated capacity to self-manage and drive multiple projects to completion under tight deadlines.
Additional Information:
Candidates must demonstrate the capability to work independently while adhering to strict Pacific Time schedules.
Previous hands-on experience with large-scale Health Care EMRs and relevant Business Intelligence certifications will considerably enhance candidacy.
Self-driven individuals exhibiting strong initiative in managing production support responsibilities are preferred.
