About the Role
The Senior Account Director for Walgreens will lead strategic and operational management for the No7 Beauty Company Walgreens business, driving sales growth, strengthening partnerships, and delivering impactful commercial results for No7 Beauty Company’s portfolio. This role requires a strategic, data-driven leader with extensive experience in developing and implementing comprehensive business plans that achieve revenue targets while fostering strong, collaborative relationships with Walgreens. As a senior leader reporting to the Executive Director – Marketing & Walgreens Strategic Planning, this role oversees the full account lifecycle, from promotional strategies to financial forecasting, inventory management, and cross-functional alignment.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive Strategic Revenue Growth: Develop and implement an overarching commercial strategy to drive revenue growth across all No7 Beauty Company brands within Walgreens. Ensure alignment of sales targets, distribution, and integrated promotional plans, contributing to overall business growth and market share gains.
• Account & Retail Partnership Management: Act as the primary point of contact for Walgreens’ leadership, managing relationships with senior stakeholders, including Divisional Merchandise Managers, Buyers, Planners, and Marketing teams. Establish a collaborative working relationship that aligns our strategies with Walgreens’ goals.
• Leadership & Team Development: Lead and develop the Walgreens account team, providing coaching and support to ensure high performance and professional growth. Build a high-impact team capable of delivering on account objectives while managing budgets and resources effectively.
• Financial & Commercial Planning: Own the delivery of annual sales plans and budgets, overseeing retail, gross, and net sales targets. Manage financial forecasting, performance tracking, and commercial reporting on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
• Promotional Strategy & Execution: Set and evaluate promotional strategies and integrated activity plans that drive in-store visibility and online engagement, enhancing the consumer experience. Oversee investment budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation for maximum return.
• Inventory & Supply Chain Management: Partner closely with Demand Planning and Supply teams to secure planned receipts and inventory levels, ensuring strong on-shelf availability and reducing out-of-stock situations.
• Collaborative Planning & Merchandising: Work with Walgreens’ visual merchandising team and internal merchandising and brand teams to create and implement effective merchandising solutions that drive in-store engagement and improve shopability.
• Lead Key Business Initiatives: Own and execute key business initiatives and trials within Walgreens, leading negotiations on terms, space, and activation agreements that expand our footprint and elevate brand presence.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of account management and sales experience within the beauty, CPG, or retail industry, with demonstrated success in developing and executing growth strategies for large retail partners.
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets, forecasting, and P&L responsibilities.
• Proven ability to manage complex retail partnerships, with a track record of building and maintaining high-level relationships.
• Exceptional leadership skills with a commitment to team development and high performance.
• Analytical and strategic thinker, with the ability to derive insights from data and translate them into effective commercial strategies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Measures of Success
• Achievement of annual sales, share, profit targets.
• Year-over-year growth in top-line revenue and market share across key categories.
• Development and execution of clear, measurable Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with Walgreens.
• Improved merchandising standards and increased brand visibility across Walgreens stores.
• Successful execution of all programs and initiatives, delivered on time and within budget.
