Location: Miami, FL - Hybrid 3x a week
Duration : 4 Month Contract-to-Hire
Rate Range : $80-$85/hr
Position Overview:
The Senior Architect, Business is responsible for aligning business strategies with technology solutions. This role leads the analysis, design, and implementation of business architecture frameworks, and ensures alignment with Carnival Cruise Lines business and IT strategic objectives. This position work closely with Enterprise and Software Architects as well as Business Systems Analysts to evaluate and manage business change impact to IT systems and maintains an integrated view of business and technology using CCLs Enterprise Architecture Management (EAM) framework, designated tools, and industry standard techniques. This role collaborates with senior business and IT leaders across the enterprise.
Essential Functions:
Business Strategy Alignment: Collaborate with senior business leaders and IT stakeholders to align business strategies with technology solutions and ensure alignment with Carnival’s business and IT vision. Ensure roadmaps and strategy documents are updated and communicated.
Business Architecture Design: Develop, document, and maintain business architecture frameworks, models and standards that capture the organization’s structure, processes, capabilities, and information needs. This includes but is not limited to creating capability models, process maps, journey maps, and defining business architecture standards and principles for the organization. Educate IT stakeholders on business strategies and how they align with technology strategies.
Business Process Analysis (current & future state): Analyze as-is business processes and capabilities, identify inefficiencies and areas of opportunity, and provide recommendation for improvements and optimizations that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness to senior executive business and IT leaders. This will include conducting or participating in business process assessments, identifying process and technology gaps, and proposing reengineering initiatives.
Lead Requirements Analysis: Lead Business Systems Analysts and Product Managers in efforts required to elicit and document primary requirements for highly strategic initiatives. Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to translate requirements into architectural specifications and ensure alignment between core business objectives and technology solutions. This involves leading and mentoring those involved in analysis, reviewing and approving requirement documentation, planning and facilitating requirement sessions, analyzing, and structuring MVP to ensure quickest delivery of value, and facilitating technical evaluation and sizing workshops.
Solution Design and Evaluation: Partner with Enterprise and Software Architects, UI/UX Designers and Data Architects to design effective and scalable technology solutions that align with business needs. This includes reviewing solution designs, providing guidance on architectural patterns, and evaluating/scoring solution options.
Enterprise Architecture Integration: Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to align business architecture with other architectural domains including data, application, projects, programs, and technology components. This includes participating in cross-functional architectural discussions, managing components of the EAM framework, contributing to the overall enterprise architecture roadmap, and ensuring consistency across architectural domains.
Thought Leadership and Professional Development: Leverage CCL training tools and programs, attend conferences and chair organizational COP’s (Communities of Practice) to stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends and best practices related to business architecture. Research and recommend new tools, frameworks, and methodologies that bring new value to the organization.
