The Senior Business Analyst will serve as a liaison between stakeholders and end users, and the project team, delivery, and solution roles.
Analyse and evaluate large and complex business systems, processes, and user needs, whilst supporting system and process solutions that align to the overall project and/ or programme objectives. Documenting and facilitating the prioritisation of project deliverables and outputs against specified business requirements.
Consistently produce high quality project documentation and artefacts with little or no supervision.
Implement solutions in compliance with project standards via established delivery frameworks.

•Work on projects of varying size, ranging from large-scale, complex projects often involving multiple internal and external components and matrix partners, to smaller tactical deliveries. Undertaking assigned projects and see changes through to completion in a timely, efficient and cost-effective manner.
•Analyse existing large and/ or complex business processes to identify alternative solutions and recommend new approaches.
•Translate user requirements into varying formats of recognised artefacts including specifications, user stories and modelling processes. Documenting workflows and results of business analysis and obtain sign-off from relevant stakeholders.
•Coordinate activities with the Product Management function to prioritise features/ functionality development, preparing features and associated user stories for inclusion in a particular release and a particular sprint. Working with project leads, programme/ portfolio management, senior stakeholders and Scrum team(s) to create and define user stories and supporting artefacts for product features and enhancements.
•Publication of high-quality business requirements and maintenance of functional specifications. Including the peer review of other Business Analyst outputs and artefacts to ensure quality of documented project input/output.
•Assess feasibility of alternative solutions (for both technical and business sustainability) and work closely with stakeholders to ensure that delivered systems meet the business need.
•Engage stakeholders to provide the link between the business/ Product leads, development teams and any third-party regarding software functionality and/ or solution design, throughout the development lifecycle.
•Question and challenge peers and managers where processes and procedures do not meet expectations and any activity that may impact colleagues and/ or customers.
•Day-to-day management of changes to requirements in relation to the delivery plans to ensure agreed scope and deadlines are met.
•Day-to-day management of project or change deliverables in line with either the project plans or backlog delivery expectations.
•Involvement with defining test cases and support of system and acceptance testing.
•Lead communications with relevant teams to ensure that appropriate change management standards and requirements are achieved in line with project objectives.
•Fault investigation and defect tracking (post-live support).
•Production and presentation of training and user guide documentation.
•Respond to changes/ business requests and helpdesk requests (where necessary).
•Constructively engage with the project team, in support of project objectives (where required). Acting as a role model for Business Analysis as a professional service.
•Contribute to continuous improvements to competency and quality standards.
•Represent requests to update/ change IT systems via any agreed Project or Change Authority Board.
•To observe, monitor and comply with business policies and other regulations (e.g. GDPR regulations, Information Security, etc.) in the performance of duties.
•Ensure there is appropriate debate, discussion and challenge of risks within areas of responsibility.
•Enhance the risk management culture within UK PMO for the effective identification, management and reporting of risk within your area of responsibility.
•To attend all relevant project related meetings and ceremonies.
•Work autonomously with little or no supervision.
•Achieve and demonstrate levels of competence and quality required to fulfil job requirements.

Essential
•3-4 years of experience of analysing, documenting and delivering business processes of a consistent high quality.
•3-4 years of experience eliciting requirements specifications for IT based Systems.
•Proven ability of using core Microsoft Office products including MS Visio.
•Demonstrable experience of both agile and traditional/ waterfall delivery project frameworks.
•Demonstrable knowledge of project management planning and governance.
•Skilled knowledge BPMN 2.0 or UML modelling notations.
Desirable
•Knowledge of project steering committee processes and Senior Management reporting.
•Knowledge of SAFe Agile practices and Prince 2 methodology.
•In depth knowledge of other modelling notations not exclusive to BPMN 2.0 or UML.
•Demonstrable experience in implementing large scale transformation projects.
•Knowledge of business processes and project delivery in the context employment, health and/ or disability services.

•Proven track record in the facilitation of business stakeholders to draw out clear, concise, focused and unambiguous requirements.
•End to end experience of the project/ development lifecycle.

•Excellent verbal and written communications skills, from technical staff through to board members and similar external contacts.
