Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst with CMS certification experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of six years of experience working within a Medicaid program or a healthcare-related field, coupled with a minimum of four years of experience in the design, development, and/or implementation of Medicaid, healthcare, and/or data warehouse systems in the primary business analyst role.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and Document Project Meetings: Lead and document project meetings as necessary to ensure clear communication and understanding among stakeholders
- Gather, Document, and Track Business Requirements: Utilize expertise to gather, document, and track business requirements throughout the project lifecycle
- Assist with System Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to assist in the development and review of system design to ensure alignment with business needs
- Identify, Track, and Document Action Items: Proactively identify, track, and document action items arising from project meetings and discussions
- Develop and Execute Test Cases: Develop, execute, and review test cases; monitor and report on testing activities across all project phases
- Requirement Traceability: Manage and trace requirements by type throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with project objectives
- Scope Management: Manage project scope, defining assumptions, constraints, and dependencies for the design and testing of requirements
- Monitor Compliance: Prepare, review, and monitor compliance of project artifacts to ensure adherence to standards and requirements
- Testing Activities/Status Reporting: Prepare, execute, monitor, and report on testing activities and status in each testing phase
- Validate Post-Implementation: Validate post-implementation with requirements traceability matrix and assist with defect identification, tracking, and resolution
- Training Material Preparation: Assist in the preparation of training materials to ensure end-users are adequately equipped to utilize implemented systems
- Action Item Monitoring: Identify and monitor the completion of action items to ensure timely resolution and project progression
- Risk and Issue Communication: Identify and communicate potential project risks and issues to stakeholders, proposing mitigation strategies where necessary
- Documentation Management: Prepare and post updated documentation to maintain accurate records of project progress and changes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of six (6) years of experience working within a Medicaid program or a healthcare-related field with CMS certification experience
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in the design, development, and/or implementation of Medicaid, healthcare, and/or data warehouse systems in the role of primary business analyst
- Proven experience in facilitating project meetings, gathering and documenting business requirements, and managing project scope
- Strong expertise in test case development, execution, and reporting, with a focus on ensuring thorough testing coverage
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
- Proficiency in identifying and mitigating project risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution and project success
