Senior Budget Analyst - Ledgent Finance & Accounting

Contract to hire opportunity with a growing LA based company!

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Contract Oversight: Review and become thoroughly familiar with the financial sections of assigned contracts.
2. Variance Monitoring: Prepare and analyze monthly reports, monitoring variances, and presenting findings to program staff.
3. Grant Billing: Ensure timely, accurate billing of expenditures in adherence to contractual and regulatory requirements.
4. Staff Allocations: Maintain and update staff allocation data in collaboration with other finance and program team members.
5. Account Reconciliation: Reconcile deferred revenue and receivables, and support collections to minimize outstanding balances.
6. Financial Reporting: Prepare and distribute monthly financial analysis reports within required deadlines.
7. Budget Preparation: Assist in budget modifications and prepare budgets as necessary.
8. Audit Support: Support audits and ensure fiscal compliance within the assigned portfolio.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
2. 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance
3. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
4. Proficiency in accounting software, databases, spreadsheets, and word processing tools.
5. Solid understanding of accounting processes, internal controls, and financial principles.
6. Strong analytical and research skills.
7. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formula creation and data analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Advanced coursework in accounting or a related field.
2. 3-5 years of experience in the Construction industry
