Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Contract Oversight: Review and become thoroughly familiar with the financial sections of assigned contracts.
- Variance Monitoring: Prepare and analyze monthly reports, monitoring variances, and presenting findings to program staff.
- Grant Billing: Ensure timely, accurate billing of expenditures in adherence to contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Staff Allocations: Maintain and update staff allocation data in collaboration with other finance and program team members.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile deferred revenue and receivables, and support collections to minimize outstanding balances.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and distribute monthly financial analysis reports within required deadlines.
- Budget Preparation: Assist in budget modifications and prepare budgets as necessary.
- Audit Support: Support audits and ensure fiscal compliance within the assigned portfolio.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in accounting software, databases, spreadsheets, and word processing tools.
- Solid understanding of accounting processes, internal controls, and financial principles.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formula creation and data analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced coursework in accounting or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in the Construction industry
