Vaco Los Angeles is working with a client who is looking for a Senior Billing Specialist to join their dynamic finance team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and make an impact on our billing processes. The role will be remote and can pay up to $40/hr, depending on experience.
Job Summary:
The Senior Billing Specialist will be responsible for managing and overseeing the billing functions, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of invoicing, and collaborating with various departments. This position requires strong knowledge of billing processes, experience with NetSuite, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end billing cycle, from invoicing to payment processing, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing in compliance with company policies.
- Utilize NetSuite to generate and manage billing transactions, including sales orders, recurring billing, and invoicing.
- Review and reconcile customer accounts, ensuring any discrepancies are promptly identified and resolved.
- Work closely with the finance, sales, and operations teams to ensure proper billing for services, projects, and subscriptions.
- Provide detailed billing reports and analysis to management and other stakeholders.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring that all billing transactions are recorded accurately.
- Perform audits and resolve any billing-related issues or discrepancies.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients to address billing inquiries and concerns.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of billing processes and systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of billing experience, with at least 2 years of experience using NetSuite.
- Strong knowledge of billing cycles, invoicing, and accounting principles.
- Proficiency with NetSuite ERP system for billing, invoicing, and reporting functions.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Knowledge of accounting software and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.) is a plus.
