What you'll doThe Total Rewards Benefits Senior Specialist (TEMP) role is coverage for someone who is on leave. You will be responsible for the administration of primarily U.S. based health and welfare benefit programs within the Firm. You will be a person who has a passion for helping others, a results-oriented technical thinker who is a team player and adaptive in a dynamic and changing environment.
The Total Rewards Benefits Senior Specialist is a full-time, temporary role in Southfield, Michigan or New York, NY, reporting to the Total Rewards Benefits Director. Paid relocation is not available.Assignment is expected to go through the middle of 2025.
- Execute and deliver U.S. & Canadian benefits processes and procedures.
- Assist with the administration of the monthly billing, including preparing invoices, auditing, and maintenance of benefit cost tracking.
- Manage the relationships with our Health and Welfare carriers.
- Respond to complex benefits questions and correspond with vendors to resolve confidential employee issues.
- Review and approve benefit elections in benefits system.
- Perform system maintenance, data updates, and reporting in HR/Benefits system.
- Maintain content on Benefits intranet page working with IT to update as needed.
- Assist in the evaluation and implementation of the US & Canadian benefit programs including group medical, prescription, dental, vision, and life insurance among others.
- Assist with the coordination of annual Open Enrollment including benefits system set up, communications, data audits, and data feeds to vendors.
- Ensure policies and procedures follow ACA, ADA, FMLA, HIPAA, ERISA, and other regulations that impact benefits.
- Provide training to support benefit program awareness and skills for People team members, employees, and decision makers.

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance or related field of study highly preferred. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- Minimum three (3) years of HR experience within the benefits arena and within a professional service firm and multi-national experience highly preferred.
- Knowledge of HR practices, procedures, required documentation, and compliance requirements required.
- Experience with HR systems, preferably experience with ADP - Workforce Now, and Oracle.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English demonstrating a high level of confidentiality and customer focus.
- Ability to interact with employees at all levels, including spouses, to handle confidential information while being sensitive to personal situations.
- Excellent analytical skills; proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational skills with thorough attention to detail; must be able to prioritize and multi-task.
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency independently and collaboratively in a team-focused and environment.
- Willingness to work outside of normal U.S. business hours, and as unique projects/needs arise.
- Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday.

The hourly range for this role takes into account a number of factors and is between $38/hr. - $48/hr.
