The Prince George’s County Office of Human Resources Management is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill a Senior Benefits Analyst (Human Resources Analyst 3G) position, grade G24, in the Benefits and Pensions Administration Division.
About the Position
This is a senior-level professional who performs administrative work within the Benefits and Pensions Administration Division. The incumbent assists the Benefits Administration leadership team with the administration of County group health and life insurance plans, pensions plans, and leave management programs. The incumbent may lead/coordinate subordinate positions as well as provide technical guidance. The incumbent works with a considerable degree of latitude and with a high degree of independent judgment. Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to health and life insurance case management and processing, retirement, and pension case support, leave management processing, HRIS system support and compliance reporting. This role demands a unique blend of innovative and analytical acumen, technical systems expertise and a deep understanding of health, wellness, and life insurance plans and programs, pension plan experience, leave management and HRIS systems. Work is evaluated through conferences, completed reports and projects assigned by the Associate Director, Retirement Administrator, and Benefits Manager. The incumbent is expected to exercise initiative when expending complex personnel work assignments and projects. The incumbent treats all personnel and personal related matters as strictly confidential. Confidential information may not be discussed with other County employees (including individuals in the Office of Human Resources Management) except for work-related reasons, under terms and conditions of the Maryland Public Information Act.
