Temp-Hire Opportunity in Irving, TX. Hybrid position with Monday-Wednesday in office and Thursday-Friday remote.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Manage the administration of the Leave of Absence process by organizing, delegating and responding to communication from employee and vendor.
• Serve as the primary contact for the setup of new state mandated leave policies (PFL).
• Manage union leave policies and changes to benefits per CBA’s.
• Develop and coordinate training sessions for BA’s and HR on benefits (Quarterly).
• Develop and revise benefits processes to streamline the task i.e., leave practices.
• Assist with M&A activity during due diligence and implementation with Benefits Manager.
• Assist with the day-to-day administrative functions of the Benefits department.
• Assist with monthly billing reconciliations for various benefit plans.
• Conduct periodic audits on benefit enrollments.
• Assist with plan vendors and administrators related to Health and Welfare and Retirement benefits.
• Serve as the Communication liaison for Open Enrollment and key benefit plan documentation.
• Evaluate internal processes to reduce costs and increase departmental efficiency.
• Maintains employee confidential records while adhering to HIPPA requirements.
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay organized.
Required Skills/Abilities
• You will serve as an employee advocate to provide insights and guidance regarding benefit programs and questions.
• Monitor and oversee new hire eligibility, status change eligibility, and benefits training notification processes.
• Serve as a liaison with our associates, benefits providers and other third-party vendors as necessary.
• Manage and respond to benefit inquiries to ensure quick, equitable, and courteous resolution.
• Administer leave of absence process, and other tasks dealing with plan administration.
• Perform necessary transactions to ensure accuracy of changes, additions and deletions of benefits in multiple systems.
• Maintain benefit records by developing recordkeeping systems; initiating new-hire benefits; recording changes.
• Knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.
• Self-starter who takes the initiative to proactively address employee issues and/or concerns.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively with little supervision.
• Excellent attention to detail and follow-up.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
