We are seeking an experienced Senior Audit Manager or Audit Manager to come in and lead our Audit team! This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to lead and manage our department. The Senior Audit Manager will be responsible for overseeing anywhere from 10-12 people and have a focus on NPO's and Charitable Trusts. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, with exceptional leadership skills and a proven track record in the public accounting industry.

As a Senior Audit Manager/Audit Manager, you will:
1. Lead and manage the audit team to ensure effective and efficient financial and compliance audits.
2. Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of audit projects in accordance with company policies and procedures.
3. Develop and implement audit strategies to improve financial accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
4. Review and analyze financial statements, reports, and accounting records for accuracy and compliance.
5. Provide guidance and support to the audit team on complex and high-risk audit engagements.
6. Collaborate with other departments to create a culture of compliance and ensure alignment with company objectives.
7. Keep abreast with latest developments in the Accounting + Finance industry and regulatory changes impacting the organization.
8. Communicate audit findings and recommendations to senior management and the Board of Directors.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA certification is required.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in auditing, with a focus on NPO's and Charitable Trusts
3. Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations, GAAP, and auditing standards.
4. Proven experience in managing and leading an audit team.
5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization.
7. High level of integrity and professionalism.
8. Proficiency in using audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
