Summary:
Under the direction of the Director of Audiology, the Audiologist is responsible for providing a full array of clinical audiology services, and for representing the audiology division in a professional and competent fashion. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive audiological services to patients of all ages, including diagnostics, rehabilitation, and counseling. You will lead and mentor a team of audiologists and support staff, ensuring the highest standard of care and adherence to professional protocols and ethical standards.

Summary:
Under the direction of the Director of Audiology, the Audiologist is responsible for providing a full array of clinical audiology services, and for representing the audiology division in a professional and competent fashion. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive audiological services to patients of all ages, including diagnostics, rehabilitation, and counseling. Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough audiological assessments, including pure tone audiometry, speech audiometry, immittance testing, and otoacoustic emissions.
- Interpret test results to diagnose hearing loss, balance disorders, and other auditory conditions.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment and techniques to provide accurate and reliable evaluations.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on individual patient needs and preferences.
- Recommend and fit appropriate hearing aids, assistive listening devices, and hearing protection devices.
- Provide auditory rehabilitation and counseling to patients and their families on coping strategies, communication techniques, and hearing conservation.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in audiology research, technology, and clinical practices.
- Participate in continuing education opportunities and professional conferences to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Contribute to research projects, publications, and presentations to advance the field of audiology and improve patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
- AuD or PhD in Audiology
- For UCSF incumbents only, an equivalent combination of education (i.e., Master’s degree) and experience prior to implementation of AuD
- Current California Audiologist license
