Primary Responsibilities
In this individual contributor, lab-based role, the Senior Associate Scientist will work in a collaborative environment to perform analytics testing to support multiple Client programs. This position will report to a Manager within Analytical Core with a focus on viral vector analytics. The incumbent will join an analytical testing group that values data quality, high productivity, and teamwork. Key responsibilities include:
Execution of routine analytical testing including qPCR, ddPCR, ELISA, molecular biology, and cell-based assays to test in-process vector samples.
Execution of multiplexed cell-based assays (killing assays, mixed lymphocyte reactions, proliferation assays, etc.).
Data analysis and reporting with an emphasis on fast and high-quality data turnaround.
Partner with Method Development groups to support assay development, qualification, and transfer.
Develop processes and methods to improve lab execution and data analysis efficiency.
Timely and thorough documentation and completion of electronic laboratory notebooks.
Author reports detailing experimental work and summarizing results.
Oversee inventory, quality control, qualification, and distribution of critical reagents used in routine analytical testing.
Track reagent usage, coordinate with internal customers, and maintain accurate records.
Required Qualifications
BS in a scientific discipline with 3+ years (1+ years with MS) of relevant industrial cell-based assay experience.
Solid knowledge of immunology and cell biology techniques and data analysis
Demonstrate ability to effectively work in cross functional teams, meet deadlines, and prioritize multiple projects.
Demonstrated experience with qPCR, ddPCR and Vector work.
Experience working in a self-driven, performance/results oriented, fast paced matrix environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Proficiency utilizing MS Office products.
Working knowledge of statistical software (R, JMP, Minitab) is preferred.
Able to creatively manage time and elevate relevant issues to Manager.
Strong scientific and technical writing and presentations
Detail oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Flexibility to work rotating offset shifts (early morning, evening and/or weekend shifts).
