We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Data Analyst to join our Middle Office platform. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA – HYBRID (3 days/week in office).
We are looking for OTC Derivatives Data Analyst with specialized focus on OTC Derivatives Lifecycle workflows from transaction injection to reporting and cashflow delivery. The ideal candidate will have proven experience and domain knowledge of OTC derivatives across cleared and bilateral products (Interest Rate Derivatives (IRD), Foreign Exchange Options (FXO), and Equity Derivatives (EQD)). This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise, financial knowledge, and a deep understanding of the derivatives market.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
• Perform data analysis, interpretation, data modelling and transformation of incoming/outgoing OTC data messages to support trade lifecycle management workflow and internal and client external reporting
• Utilized expertise in derivatives to define data transformations and manipulations using SQL as well as FPML and JSON Formatting skills
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues pertaining to data quality, ensuring the integrity of static, market data, and OTC transaction data.
• Work closely with the developers in the engineering team to facilitate and support the integration of Derivative Trade Lifecycle with other applications, platforms and systems within the organization.
• Develop and execute detailed test plans for new enhancements and products.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
• Proficiency in cleared and bilateral OTC market standard for G7 and emerging markets currencies across the OTC market (IRD, FXO, EQD)
• Expertise in SQL and the ability to create complex queries for financial data analysis.
• Familiarity with FPML and JSON data format.
• Strong communication and problem solving skills
• Preferred: Direct experience in Murix, Summit, Calipso, Geneva derivatives systems, including configuration and operations
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
• 4-6 years of experience in data modeling, data warehousing, data entity analysis, logical and relational database design, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus
