About the Job
POSITION SUMMARY:
As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining our business systems and applications in the Microsoft Azure cloud. You will collaborate closely with other enterprise teams to ensure that systems and users are operating optimally in a hybrid environment. This role requires deep understanding of Azure infrastructure and recommended practices for deploying and operating Azure resources in a secure environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Position Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in the cloud
- Implement policies and configure resources to improve the cloud security posture of the organization
- Optimize cloud resources for efficient use and cost management
- Understand costs and implement mechanisms for billing/chargeback
- Configure monitoring and proactively address operational issues
- Build and use automation (IaC templates and scripts) for provisioning cloud resources
- Engage with business users, application owners, and technical teams to gather requirements, address concerns, and provide guidance on Azure capabilities and best practices
- Create detailed technical documentation, including architectural diagrams and operational procedures
Qualifications
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience supporting and administering Azure infrastructure
- 8+ years of IT experience supporting and troubleshooting at an enterprise level
- Strong understanding of Azure networking, VDI, monitoring, security, policies
- Understanding of Agile framework and experience with project management tools such as Azure Boards or Jira
- Experience with a programming or scripting language
- Experience with a declarative language for IaC such as Bicep or Terraform
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Thoroughness and keen attention to detail
- Azure Administrator Associate AZ-104 and Azure Network Engineer Associate AZ-700 certification,
or Azure Solutions Architect Expert AZ-305 certification. - Azure Data or Azure AI experience or certification is a plus
- Experience with AWS is a plus

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or 5+ years of experience in IT.
