POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Art Manager will oversee the creative execution of Jeeter's marketing materials, ensuring brand identity alignment across all visual content. This role involves managing a large creative team, mentoring junior and senior designers, and collaborating closely with the Creative Director to translate high-level concepts into cohesive, actionable designs. The Senior Art Manager will also be responsible for process optimization within the art department, ensuring high-quality creative output is delivered on time and within scope.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Creative Development & Execution:
- Lead the development of art concepts and provide strategic direction to designers, illustrators, and other creatives.
- Ensure creative deliverables align with the overall brand strategy and meet the high standards of Jeeter's visual identity.
- Collaborate with the Creative Director to interpret high-level concepts and turn them into detailed, actionable creative work.
- Oversee the entire creative process, from initial concept through to final execution and delivery.
Team Management & Mentorship:
- Manage and mentor a large creative team, providing guidance on creative direction, feedback, and skill development.
- Maintain team performance by fostering a collaborative environment and promoting creative innovation.
- Ensure that deadlines are met and that all creative work is delivered with high quality, consistency, and timeliness.
- Provide leadership during creative reviews, resolving challenges and incorporating feedback to refine and perfect designs.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Presentation:
- Present final creative materials to stakeholders, incorporating feedback and ensuring alignment with the project goals.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments, including marketing, product development, and sales, to ensure creative consistency across all platforms and materials.
- Act as a liaison between the creative team and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and communication.
Process Improvement & Operations:
- Identify opportunities for improving creative processes within the art department, ensuring efficient workflow and optimal resource utilization.
- Implement best practices for project management, using tools like Asana to streamline operations.
- Resolve operational challenges within the creative team, improving collaboration and output quality.
- Stay updated on the latest design trends and technologies to continuously improve creative execution and innovation.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- 10+ years of experience in creative roles, with significant experience managing large creative teams.
- Strong portfolio showcasing leadership in creative development, visual storytelling, and brand consistency.
- Proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and project management tools (Asana).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders, present creative ideas, and incorporate feedback.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve creative challenges with innovative solutions.
- Experience in branding, print, digital, and multimedia design is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in an office environment and manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Occasional travel may be required for project meetings or presentations.
