We are seeking a Senior Applications Administrator in our Broomfield, CO or Brooklyn Park, MN Locations.
About the Role:
As Applications Administrator, you will be part of the Enterprise Applications team and will play a crucial and hands-on role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our applications, platforms, and tools. You will engage with business teams and partners across the globe, as well as external vendors, to gather requirements and propose business-aligned solutions. This role will report to our Enterprise Apps Manager and will work in partnership with our IT engineering and support teams to ensure integration and alignment with our critical infrastructure.
As an Applications Administrator, you will help shape and execute the enterprise apps strategy and roadmap that is aligned and positioned to innovate and deliver compelling business value on a global scale. You will work to ensure stakeholders have access to our systems and services whenever and wherever they need them.
You will be supported by a global IT organization providing cutting-edge solutions and services to our scientific teams. Your work will increase collaboration and productivity and will support the development of quantum software, applications, and hardware which will have a future impact on our everyday lives. Previous experience in a similar role as part of a high-performing team is preferred. A natural desire to collaborate and exceed stakeholder expectations is ideal for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, communicate and support enterprise application deployments, migrations, server system support. This work includes configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting on-premises applications (Windows and Linux server OS environments) and SaaS products.
- Build, deploy, and manage dependency system components including database environments that enable operation of enterprise applications. Your experience with various database technologies (MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, and non-SQL) should include deployment, configuration, and support.
- Management and configuration of 3rd-party integrations (e.g., Box, DocuSign, Smartsheet, or similar), connecting disparate applications and data mappings.
- Experience with Azure AD SSO enablement and integration.
- Monitor system performance (e.g., Datadog or similar) and establish backup and recovery procedures to safeguard data or configurations to ensure business continuity in the event of system failures or disasters.
- Ensure IT and security controls are consistently implemented and aligned with industry regulations, policies, standards, and best practices.
- Analyze usage trends and forecast future resource requirements to ensure applications scale to meet growing demands including cost optimization and resource rationalization strategies.
- Interact with software vendors to report issues, request assistance, and stay informed about product updates and future developments.
- Collaborate and engage with stakeholders and IT staff to provide exceptional customer support, system updates, status updates, etc.
- Create and maintain up-to-date documentation, including drawings, configurations, and recovery plans.
- Provide training sessions or materials to educate users on how to effectively utilize the applications to meet their business objectives.
YOU MUST HAVE:
- Bachelor's degree minimum
- Minimum 3+ years of experience deploying and supporting enterprise platforms and application technologies (Atlassian, Workday, Smartsheet, etc. or similar).
- Minimum 3+ years of experience deploying and supporting engineering and software development tools (Ex: Jenkins, Artifactory, GitHub, FlexLM, etc.).
- Minimum 3+ years of experience of Windows and Linux systems administration.
- Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Citizen, permanent resident or green card holder
WE VALUE:
- Enterprise level experience as an applications administrator, or similar role, with significant ownership of platforms, tools, and services.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Nutanix, Hyper-V, etc.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Rancher, Kubernetes, Docker) is a plus.
- Experience with CRM or ERP user administration and access (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, etc.).
- Solid understanding of networking, security principles, and best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- A desire to work side-by-side and engage with partners on challenging problems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Willingness to be flexible in meeting the demands of a fast-moving business.

Estimated Salary Wage: $108,000 - $135,000 Annually
