Job Description
Position Overview The Senior Analyst, Thermal Asset Management will
report to the Director, Thermal Asset Management, and assist with a wide
range of activities all directed toward the same goal: maximizing the
profitability of Invenergy's operating renewable and thermal assets.
Responsibilities
:
Finance:
- Develop annual budgets for generation asset projects and perform
periodic variance analyses for financial metrics, such as EBITDA,
distributions, etc.
- Provide input and review of the pro-forma financial models for
generation assets
- Develop reports on asset generation project performance for
investors and lenders

- Assist in cash flow forecasting and management
- Perform financial analyses of aftermarket improvements, including
profits, losses and associated risks.
- Develop other ad-hoc analyses as needed, coordinating with
Accounting, Finance, Tax etc.
Operations:
- Coordinate with site-based and corporate O&M staff to optimize asset
performance, including major component repair and optimization of
maintenance planning
- Collaborate with the performance engineering team to evaluate and
improve operational performance
- Participate in contract development with outside vendors, from
soliciting quotes to supporting final contract negotiation.
- Lead dispute negotiations if they arise with contractual
counterparts
Commercial:
- Provide input on optimizing the bidding and scheduling of assets
into the market
- Support development and review commercial contracts and bids
- Collaborate with Commercial team on near-term and long-term power
market strategy
Regulatory and compliance:
- Ensure compliance with the regulatory requirements and project
agreements, including:
- Power Purchase Agreements
- Operating Agreements
- Credit Agreements
- Operations and Maintenance Agreements
Required Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Engineering,
Mathematics, Economics) and coursework in Finance or Accounting.
- 1+ years of professional experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Some travel required.
- Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer
visa sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Skills
- Experience in the energy industry is beneficial, but not required.
- One year professional work experience.
- Strong analytical, logical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with standard financial metrics and analyses (NPV, IRR,
DCF models)
Base Pay
80,000.00 - 90,000.00 USD Annual Bonus: 15%
The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for
the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining
base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position
and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
In addition to base pay, the total annual compensation package may also
include eligibility to participate in our bonus program(s) which are
