Senior Analyst, Performance Marketing - Wayfair

This position is a hybrid in-office role that works out of our Headquarters in Boston, MA (this role is not a virtual / remote position).
The role is a marketing generalist who supports the CMO function for Wayfair’s Specialty Brands: AllModern, Joss and Main and Birch Lane, specifically to drive performance marketing success. This person is the resident expert on marketing channel performance for the brand, steers the marketing strategic planning process (i.e. forecasting & roadmap collaboration) for the brand, and leads the thinking on multi-channel marketing strategies (e.g. targeting) that improve channel effectiveness & customer health. This person reports directly to the Head of Performance for the brands, partners closely with the Brand Manager and brand leadership, and peer-manages a distributed team of marketing channel analysts and cross-functional partners.
What You'll Do
- Own the marketing performance narrative in all formal & informal touchpoints. Execute deep-dive investigations that span across channels (in partnership with marketing channel teams) to deliver actionable insights to brand & department leadership. Own all formal reporting.
- Develop a deep understanding of full marketing funnel to serve as a strategic thought partner to marketing channel teams. Hold individual channels accountable for test rigor, cross-brand parity, and business results. Draw connections across channel roadmaps (e.g. between prospecting & email) to improve overall customer experience to amplify channel-specific performance. Promote a balanced focus on operational excellence & innovation, especially as it pertains to the unique strategy & needs of a given brand.
- In partnership with the Head of Performance, lead the ad spend forecasting process with channels and relevant analysis to drive better target-setting, and ongoing reporting on performance vs. forecast (+ drivers). Lead the monitoring and management of performance metrics against the forecast.
- Support investigation into cross-channel levers (e.g. personalization, targeting, retargeting) to improve customer growth / customer health, tailored to the brand strategy. Serve as project manager for complex multi-channel projects, ensuring scalability / sustainability of initiatives, knowledge-sharing & impactful results. Contribute to cross-brand marketing platform ideas and optimizations (e.g. performance elements of promotions, internal prospecting, etc)etc.)
- Lead team-building & activities that drive brand affinity amongst distributed teams. Also includes active participation in brand leadership discussions as a marketing expert.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor’s degree with a quantitative and/or analytical focus (Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, etc... )
- Proficiency or willingness to learn the SQL coding language for extracting and manipulating data at scale.
- 1-3+ years’ experience in digital marketing, management consulting, startup/tech, finance, and/or strategy with a heavy analytical emphasis
- A total ownership mindset - ability to thrive in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment with a dynamic bias for action and a “get stuff done” attitude
- Excellent critical thinking and stakeholder management skills - ability to break down and communicate complex ideas and influence senior leaders and cross-functional partners
- Strong quantitative analytics with a strategic lean - ability to generate insights and solutions or build a story and strategy from large data sets
- Holistic results/growth orientation married with entrepreneurial thinking and an insatiable intellectual curiosity - a relentless focus on driving impact and continuous improvement
