Job Summary
This position supports Renewables and Energy Solutions (RES) organization. Responsible for “cradle to grave” contract management from early involvement with developing the scope of work, RFP process, contract negotiation, contract award, contract maintenance, through contract closeout. The Contract Analyst will be responsible for reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide range of contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and department requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Job Responsibilities
•Provide consultative technical/analytical and functional support in Contract Administration.
•Review, draft and negotiate various types of scope of works and pricing/payment terms.
•Identify the key contract rights and obligations; prepare contract summaries; ensure that all Company and Contractor requirements are defined, summarized, and scheduled.
•Oversee contract implementation and monitoring to ensure compliance.
•Develop and maintain process documentation.
•Provide support and problem resolution to Project management in coordination with the appropriate Service Company partners (Procurement, Legal, Enterprise Risk Management, Tax, Corporate Properties, etc.). Assist Contracting Manager(s) and Manager Contract Administration & Supplier.
•Performance in identifying and documenting gaps in Supplier performance and make recommendations for improvement opportunities.
•Maintain a comprehensive contract management system, including tracking contract status, deadlines, and renewals.
•Ensure all executed contracts are properly documented and stored.
•Handle contract disputes or issues that arise and work towards resolutions in support of the Program management team.
•Demonstrate teamwork: work collaboratively and cooperatively with others, leading and following as needed.
Job Specific Qualifications
Required:
•Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of contract administration or legal experience, or JD degree and 3 years of contract administration or legal experience.
•Demonstrated understanding of contract management and administration including negotiation, drafting, scoping and pricing
•Excellent analytical, organizational, and oral and written communication skills. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
•Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, contract management software, and ability to quickly learn new applications.
•Ability to attend off-site meetings as required.
•Ability to travel to company sites in New Jersey.
•Must have and maintain a valid U.S. driver’s license and a safe driving record.
Desired Qualifications:
•Experience in related fields such as Procurement.
•Experience within the utility industry and/or with utility operations.
•Knowledge of energy efficiency programs or knowledge of electric vehicle programs with utility focus.
•Experience in a project, construction, or industrial business environment.
•General knowledge of uniform commercial code and contract law
•General knowledge of FIDIC contracts
•Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
•Business and technical writing experience.
•Experience with SAP, Ariba, LM, SharePoint, McLaren, and PowerAdvocate
