What you will be doing:
The HPE Compute team is currently looking for a seasoned technical product manager with deep knowledge of AI Inferencing solutions. A strong knowledge of server, storage, and networking technology as it pertains to organizations who are building AI Inferencing solutions is required as is the passion to understand and create amazing customer experiences.
This is a Technical Product Management role, not an IT Admin role and it is expected that the right candidate will have a solid technical understanding of what makes AI solutions perform and how they functionally integrate into the broader data ecosystem (i.e. Data Management; DevOps, Analytics). The ability to design server and infrastructure resource requirements to effectively run optimized AI workloads at the edge, datacenter, or in the cloud is required. Understanding of data pipeline infrastructures is highly desired.
The Product Manager designs, plans, develops and manages a solution throughout its lifecycle: from definition to end of life. They are regarded as the subject matter expert by customers and field customer-facing organizations, internal product and R&D teams, as well as technology partners. They engage deeply with customers to understand their requirements and then represent those requirements effectively to hardware, software, and services product teams. They will exemplify the HPE beliefs "Courage Over Comfort" and "Push for Better", not accepting that something that worked for years is good enough.
What you would bring to the role:
- Deep knowledge of customer requirements and trends for building and deploying AI Inference solutions
- Leads and drives the end-to-end technical strategy and operational roadmap for one AI solutions.
- Defines the value proposition, target customer segments, and business case to bring one or more innovative and disruptive solutions to market with respect to the whole company product technical portfolio (i.e. Product configuration mix, Revenue/Margins, financials, market share).
- Synthesizes market requirements (MRD) into marketing/customer details through having intimate customer knowledge and business, financial and industry market acumen.
- Advises key stakeholders on the portfolio strategy across all phases of the lifecycle (e.g., planning, development, launch, management, exit).
- Creates and drives goal alignment and collaborates across one or more products' value chain partners to optimize margins and enable success of products per plans across the product lifecycle. (ie. Engineering: product development, Supply Chain: SKUs, inventory and Marketing: marketing and pricing strategies and Go To Market Plan).
- Works with third party ISV's and hardware vendors to incorporate into HPE compute platforms in the most effective way possible to deliver strong value to our customers.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering or related field of study. MBA or advanced degree in computer science, data science, or Artificial Intelligence highly desired.
- 8+ years of work experience in related field.
- Technical understanding and knowledge of the relevant industry.
- Expert team skills and ability to cross functionally drive/influence work through others, ability to mentor and lead teams to achieve results for complex, ambiguous projects.
- Expert skills in cost efficient solution building, financial performance metric creation and analysis.
- Expert business acumen and knowledge of root cause analysis and problem detection.
- Technical understanding and knowledge of the relevant industry and ability to provide product specific technical training to the team, partners, and customers.

Annual Salary: $128,000.00 - $295,000.00
