Basic Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period of time. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

As a Senior Advanced Software Engineer, you’ll lead a team of extraordinary talent. Together you’ll perform software requirements analysis, lead research and design, and develop and test software and tools. From inventing new products or enhancing existing applications, your talent and leadership abilities will be front and center.
You'll be responsible for the development and maintenance of software and systems products for a fielded and operational system. Installation, configuration and hardening, and integration of a message processing application with multiple operating systems. Design and implement software solutions, both individually and as part of a team. Help maintain and enhance existing products, define and implement new solutions, assist in troubleshooting customer issues, and collaborate on software designs. Experience with Emergency Action Message processing systems is desired.

What you bring to the table:
- A Bachelor’s in software engineering or a related technical field and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience; Agile experience preferred
- Thorough understanding of software engineering concepts, principles, and theories
- Expert at applying technical standards and methodologies to resolve issues in creative ways and help company meet financial and business objectives
- Very strong knowledge of software tools supporting Integrated Development Environments (IDE), version control, defect reporting and scripting
- Strong, proven development and troubleshooting skills
- Solid understanding of real-time operating system internals (e.g., Solaris, VxWorks, Linux, and Windows, and/or other real-time operating systems) and implementation of RMF controls
- Systems software expertise in developing modular software for embedded software applications
- Experience with communication protocols (TCP/IP stacks as well as legacy communication systems); Ada, C and C++ language, system design and debugging skills; X/Motif GUI development; Competence in the areas of software process and process tools (such as TeleUse, ClearCase, xddts)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills required, with ability to work in a dynamic group
- Some travel may be required

Target salary range: USD $142,800.00/Yr. - USD $158,400.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary.
