Department Summary
CAAAM is the Center for Agile and Adaptive Additive Manufacturing. CAAAM looks at additive manufacturing, which includes materials, science, cybersecurity, data analytics, logistics, and supply chain.
Established in 2019 by the Texas State Legislature with $10 million in funding and recently renewed through 2025, CAAAM conducts next-generation research, education, and workforce training in additive manufacturing. CAAAM's Institute for Transformative Education in Additive Manufacturing-or ITEAM-provides courses, seminars, workshops, symposia, in-lab training sessions, and summer camps for industry and community colleges.
UNT has a highly diverse campus with a wide range of languages spoken in addition to English. Position Overview
This position is responsible for providing executive, administrative, and analytical support to an Associate Vice President for Center for Agile and Adaptive Additive Manufacturing (CAAAM). Coordinates CAAAM administrative activities and acts as university wide liaison for the center. Identifies issues or problems and research solutions within specific management areas.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and five years' of highly responsible and varied office administration or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced written communication skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills. Knowledge of accounting/budgeting procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure, to adjust to constant changes, to handle multiple tasks, and to coordinate the work of others.
- Ability to keep complex records, to assemble and organize data of complex nature, and to prepare and submit reports in acceptable formats.
- Ability to conceptualize, plan and organize multiple programs and assignments effectively.
- Ability to work on complex and confidential tasks utilizing judgment, tact, and resourcefulness.
- Skill in developing and maintaining good working relationships.
- Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures and terminology of assigned function. Supervisory skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous work experience in higher education.
- Experience and working knowledge of UNT processes and software: Work Control, ePars, PeopleAdmin (hiring/position management), UNT Financial Aid Scholarships, IDTs, MarketPlace (procurement), and PCards.

Job Duties:
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Works closely with CAAAM staff to fulfill any purchasing needs via purchasing card; Reqs/POs; IDTs; intercampus payments. Initiates/reviews purchasing requisitions and change orders for proper documentation to complete procurement lifecycle process. Works with vendors and contractors as necessary to support procurement process. Responds to inquiries regarding purchasing policies and procedures; procurement departments to resolve ordering/ payment issues.
- Designated departmental ongoing and annual Inventory coordinator, departmental annual Space Survey respondent.
- Maintain good working relationship with administrators, staff, faculty, students, and RAs.
- Human Resource support for CAAAM by personnel hiring through UNT PeopleAdmin; ePars; International office; timekeeping reports and records.
- Coordinates activities on behalf of the department head, maintaining a high level of confidentiality at all times. May serve as department representative as requested.
- Ensures required reports for university and are completed in a timely fashion.
- Identifies issues or problems and research solutions within specific management areas.
