The Senior Administrative Coordinator develops, compiles, and reports complex data sets related to, but not limited to, patient safety and quality, patient experience, internal and external compliance, employee engagement, finance, payroll, supply chain and workflow standardization using accepted industry methodologies, measurements and benchmarks producing a product ready for action steps yielding positive outcomes. The SAC maintains employee personnel files, processes a variety of supply orders and completes time and attendance approvals and related T/A-occurrence reporting. The SAC is an owner and resource for compliance of policy driven standardized procedures for payroll purposes. This SAC is accountable for assuring reliable data sources, accuracy and integrity of reports and information and actively participates in improvement activities and outcomes.
Essential Job Functions
- Develops, compiles, and reports complex data sets, related to, but not limited to, patient safety and quality, patient experience, internal and external compliance, employee engagement, finance, payroll, supply chain and workflow standardization using accepted industry methodologies, measurements and benchmarks producing a product ready for action steps to yield positive outcomes.
- Maintains employee personnel files, processes a variety of supply orders and completes time and attendance approvals and related T/A-occurrence reporting. Is an owner and resource for the compliance of policy driven standardized procedures for payroll purposes.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary departments collecting, aggregating and trending data sets. Presents data information to departmental and assigned committees for compliance and process improvement.
- Attends meetings and executes action plans in accordance with and meeting management best practices and assigned timelines.
- Develops and utilizes tools to effectively communicate data in a standard, user-friendly format.
- Participates actively as a member of assigned committees and provides requested information to include data aggregation, and summaries.
- Acts positively and proactively as a change agent for improvement initiatives. Supports department initiatives by following up on requested actions.
- Performs other duties and project management as assigned and/or requested by senior management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Minimum of three years hospital experience, preferably in an analyst, coordinator or operational role and/or relevant education may be evaluated and serve as a partial substitute.
- Strong analytical skills. Excellent interpersonal skills, including presentation, written, and verbal.
- Ability to collaborate with management, medical staff, and employees within the organization.
- Knowledge and application of the principles of quality improvement including methodologies, data collection, and reporting. Ability to create and manage databases, Microsoft Office applications, including Access, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Advanced ability to create summary reports that imbed statistical tools and charts.

Compensation & Benefits Overview
UChicago Medicine is committed to transparency in compensation and benefits. The pay range provided reflects the anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position.
The pay range is based on a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) and is reflective of current market data, reviewed on an annual basis. Compensation offered at the time of hire will vary based on candidate qualifications and experience and organizational considerations, such as internal equity. Pay ranges for employees subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements are negotiated by the medical center and their respective union.
