ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Senior Accrual Accountant
The Senior Accrual Accountant assists the Accounting Manager in reconciling general ledger accounts, preparing and analyzing monthly financial statements for the global accrual books, and preparing accrual financial schedules as required. Also, the Senior Accrual Accountant assists the Manager of Accounting, the Director of Tax and Payroll and the Director of Accounting with the development of global reporting and additional projects related to the new Pillar Two requirements as needed.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Reviewing and preparing reconciliations on a monthly basis for assigned balance sheet accounts.
- Responding to daily general ledger queries, providing information, and preparing and inputting journal entries (including reclasses) as needed.
- Providing detailed information and reports as required.
- Assisting the Accounting Manager with the month-end close of the accrual books, and records month-end accruals.
- Preparing monthly and annual accrual financial statements for required offices.
- Assisting in the documentation of the monthly accrual accounting processes.
- Analyzing data monthly for cash repatriation between the U.S. and any of the firm's international offices with agreements in place.
- Assisting in the interim and year-end audit processes. Preparing schedules, as required. Providing information to the auditors and responding to and researching questions from the auditors when necessary.
- Working with the firm's vendor to maintain accrual financial reporting workbooks.
- Assisting in the annual tax process by providing accrual financial statements and reports. Assisting the Director of Tax and Payroll in responding to questions in this area.
- Assisting in the development of global reporting as required by Pillar Two on an annual basis by providing analysis and reports. Assisting the Director of Tax and Payroll in responding to questions in this area.
- Assisting in the creation and documentation of reporting that may be needed to be in compliance with global requirements related to Pillar Two.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in general ledger/financial reporting area, with accrual accounting experience at a law firm or other professional services organization preferred.
- Accrual accounting experience required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in multi-currency conversion preferred.
- Public accounting or audit experience preferred.
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (data manipulation, advanced formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, etc.)
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite and/or related software.
- A strong general knowledge of accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, expense variations, etc.
- Ability to work independently, under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain flexibility with work assignments.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $77,840 to $97,300 The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- This position routinely utilizes standard office equipment such as laptops, computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets, in a home office as well as an in-person office environment.
- Ability to lift/move up to 20 pounds.
- This position is generally performed in a professional office setting; 70% sitting, 20% standing, and 10% walking.
