About the role
As a Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in managing all aspects of accounts receivable, collaborating with operations and finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and streamlined processes. This role is perfect for someone who is performance-driven, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily credit card, EFT/ACH, and lockbox deposits, ensuring accurate posting and reconciliation.
- Partner with the Senior Accountant to resolve unreconciled cash entries and implement process improvements.
- Provide training and support to Accounts Receivable staff, acting as a key point of contact.
- Collaborate with the Maple Development Team on system enhancements and Finance-aligned reporting.
- Prepare and post journal entries, including returned ACH and NSF payments.
- Process customer ACH payments, credit card payments, refunds, credit memos, and chargebacks.
- Research and resolve billing inquiries, manage AR email inboxes, and support collections and audits as needed.
Requirements
- Associate degree (or equivalent) from a two-year college or technical school, or three years of related experience; equivalent combinations of education and experience are also welcome.
- Desire to pursue a four-year degree in accounting, finance, or business.
- 3+ years of accounting experience (experience in the legal services industry preferred).
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting software, such as NetSuite.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- A proactive, eager-to-learn mindset with the ability to multitask and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Compensation
The anticipated starting base pay range for this role is listed below. Base salary is not the only component of our competitive total rewards package - you may also be eligible for bonus, commissions, equity, and other benefits as described below. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, licenses and certifications.
$50,000 - $85,000
