Kamada's commercial operations in the US primarily focus on distributing and selling our specialized IgG pharmaceutical products. Through our wholly owned subsidiary, Kamada Plasma LLC ("Kamada Plasma"), we also operate plasma collection facilities in Texas, where we collect specialty plasma used to manufacture some of our life-saving products.
We are seeking a seasoned professional with plasma experience to fill the Senior Accounting Manager role. In this position, you will directly support the U.S. Finance Director in managing the financial performance of the business, ensuring tax compliance, and safeguarding the assets and financial integrity of the Group. As a Senior Accounting Manager, you will play a crucial role in key initiatives, such as optimizing working capital, enhancing internal controls, and driving strategic financial planning. Essential Duties
In this role, you will take charge of the accounts payable function, overseeing everything from vendor maintenance to invoice processing, GL coding, and payment scheduling. You will ensure compliance by preparing 1099s and W-9s for applicable vendors and handling bi-weekly payables. Additionally, you'll collaborate with the payroll company to input and reconcile payroll and related items, contributing to accurate payroll management.
Your expertise will be crucial in supporting the month-end and year-end closing processes across multiple locations, preparing reconciliations for cash, accounts receivable, prepaid expenses, inventory, fixed assets, and accrued liabilities. You will also prepare detailed account analyses comparing budget to actual figures, ensuring alignment with the general ledger.
Beyond these core responsibilities, you will assist in the preparation of U.S. budgets and forecasts and work with an outsourced tax service provider to manage federal, state, local, and nexus tax filings and compliance. You'll process and review expense reports, ensuring they meet company guidelines, and manage lease accounting (IFRS 16 or ASC 842) for multiple locations.
Your role will involve identifying and executing continuous improvements in accounting processes, supporting the accounting department during audits, and contributing to special projects as needed. You will also calculate the cost of goods sold and various expenses, including labor, medical supplies, donor fees, testing costs, and fixed costs (overhead). Occasionally, you will assist center-level operations, including filling out applications, conducting pricing and contract reviews, and other ad hoc tasks. This role requires occasional travel within the United States less than 20% of the working time.
Education Requirements
- BS or BA in Accounting from a four-year college or university.
- Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
Knowledge and Skills
You should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in public and/or corporate accounting, with strong general ledger and technical accounting skills. Experience in the Plasma industry is required, along with proficiency in cost accounting within an ERP system. Your background in tax compliance, particularly in a multi-national environment, will be highly valued, as well as your familiarity with lease accounting (IFRS 16 or ASC 842).
We're seeking a candidate with a strong analytical mindset, exceptional Excel and financial modeling skills, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. You should be a self-starter, capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and comfortable working independently and collaboratively. A solid understanding of accounting, tax, treasury, internal controls, and financial systems is essential, coupled with strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with peers and stakeholders. Comfort with IT systems and the ability to work under tight deadlines are also key.
