Are you a seasoned Accounting Manager looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity? We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, financial reporting, dashboard building, and financial report building.
Responsibilities:
As an Accounting Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing and managing the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
- Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget, financial forecasts, and report variances.
- Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements.
- Coordinating the preparation of regulatory reporting.
- Researching technical accounting issues for compliance.
- Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Building financial reports and dashboards using NetSuite to provide insights to the management team.
- Assisting in the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and established best practices.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
- A CPA is highly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
- Proven experience with financial reporting, dashboard building, financial report building.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with NetSuite or equivalent ERP software.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
- Strong leadership qualities and a team player mentality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
- Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
