Position Purpose:
Oversee the accounting function, manage GL and financial statement reporting. As the Senior Accounting Manager, you will supervise, monitor and evaluate all day-to-day accounting activities. In addition, you will be establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting financial information. This position is responsible for tracking, monitoring and evaluating day-to-day accounting tasks and activities. These tasks are essential to ensure company's performance and success.

Position Purpose:
Oversee the accounting function, manage GL and financial statement reporting. As the Senior Accounting Manager, you will supervise, monitor and evaluate all day-to-day accounting activities. In addition, you will be establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting financial information. This position is responsible for tracking, monitoring and evaluating day-to-day accounting tasks and activities. These tasks are essential to ensure company's performance and success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the general ledger and financial statement reporting - Month / Quarter / Year End Close
- P&L analysis
- Supervise, train, and lead accounting staff
- Play an integral role in clients’ various audit engagements
- Participate in strategic planning and development of long-term growth
- Present monthly financial results to operational managers
- Cash management for multiple companies
- Prepare cash flow statement and analyze monthly changes in balance sheet
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliation each month
- Assist and lead in special projects as necessary including identification and implementation of new accounting software, efficiency recommendations and other process improvements, adherence to accounting policies and procedures
- Interact with C-Level at our carrier clients
- Manage the offshore teams tasks and responsibilities
- Carry out other such duties as may be assigned or requested
Qualifications:
- Four year degree in Accounting or related field required
- Five or more years’ work in field of Accounting/Finance
- One or more years’ experience supervising staff
- Experience in Great Plains is a plus
- Participated in system implementation is a plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Enthusiasm and a desire to learn and grow
- Comprehensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Strong organizational skills
- Mastery of Microsoft Excel
- Desire to assume progressively greater responsibility
- Ability to quickly master new computer software packages
Work Schedule:
- Full Time Exempt Position
- Mondays through Fridays, 8:00am to 5:00pm
- Work hours may extend based on business operation needs
- This position is expected to be in the office Tuesday through Thursday, this is a hybrid
Environmental Factors:
- Work is performed indoors in a typical office environment
Physical Skills and Abilities:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 10 - 50 pounds at times.
- Hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity including ability to grasp and operate equipment
- Visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment, and read technical information
