A large East LA services company is looking for a Senior Account to join their team. Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for GAAP compliance, month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, assisting with process improvement initiatives, and consolidation. To be successful in this Senior Accountant role, this person should be solutions-oriented, have a growth mindset, and have excellent communication skills. What do you need for this Senior Accountant role?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
- 4+ years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- CPA Candidate would be great
- Advanced Excel
- Prepare journal entries and financial statements for month-end close
- Prepare account reconciliations and supporting schedules
- Prepare material for internal and external reporting
- Identify areas and ways to improve processes
- Document and update policies and procedures
- Ad-hoc reporting and projects
- Assist with the year end financial statement audit
- Very stable company that has been around for decades
