A Westside real estate company is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for financial reporting, SEC filing, SOX, and technical accounting. What do you need for this Senior Accountant role?
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
• 4-7+ years of accounting experience
• MUST have public accounting experience
• Active (or close to having) CPA
• Real estate experience would be great
What will you do in this Senior Accountant role?
• Create internal financial and SEC reporting schedules
• Create management presentations and prepare for conference calls
• Preparation of deferred income, intangible assets, leases, and asset retirement obligations
• Impairment analysis
• Monthly reconciliations and allocation entries
• Intercompany elimination and accruals
• Interest calculations on JV funds
• Calculate management fees, waterfalls, distributions, and analyze cash balances
• Prepare financial reporting packages
• Analyze GAAP and IFRS
• Financial statement preparation
• Acquisition, disposition, and purchase price accounting
