Our client is a national leader in the renewable energy industry, transforming the U.S. electricity market by delivering clean, pollution-free energy to homes and businesses.

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant to help drive the development of accounting systems and processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general ledger accounting, project accounting, compliance, and audits, and will act as a key liaison between the accounting/finance team and various business units.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

• Manage accounting deadlines, audit preparation, and special projects
• Oversee financial operations reporting for designated business lines
• Develop risk management analyses tailored to industry needs
• Prepare monthly GAAP-compliant financial statements and reconciliations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial processes and reporting
• Manage monthly journal entries and expense accruals, ensuring accurate month-end close

Preferred Qualifications of the Senior Accountant:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or CMA strongly preferred
• 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience
• Proficient in cloud-based accounting systems
• Experience with business intelligence tools like Workday Adaptive Planning is a plus
• Renewable energy or utility sector experience is a plus
