Senior Accountant at Accentuate Staffing

Accentuate Staffing is currently recruiting for a Senior Accountant for our client in Wilson, NC 27893.  This is a Direct Hire opportunity offering a flexible HYBRID schedule. The Senior Accountant position combines tasks from General Ledger/Month-end Close, Fixed Assets, Accounts Receivable, and Internal Controls.

Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Assist Controller with various month-end and year-end journal entries, and other financial reporting and general ledger requirements. Owner of the Debt Roll forward file that is maintained monthly. Also assist in other areas as needed, such as External/Internal Audit, completing various month end recons, and running the monthly reporting for management to review. Provide documentation on any variances for each location.
2. Oversee Accounts Receivable process and year end requirements. Review monthly AR balances with the operations with a focus on the 90+ day outstanding category.
3. Control the fixed asset process. Enter, tag, depreciate, and dispose of assets.
4. Assist in the internal audit.
5. Determine areas that need process improvement and lead projects to ensure ideas are put into production.
6. Other duties as needed and assigned by the Controller.

Education and Experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree required
2. CPA or Master’s degree preferred
3. 3-5 years experience in the financial reporting/general ledger area.

2. Multi-location experience a plus.
3. Deep knowledge of enterprise accounting software
4. Strong Excel skills
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
