Responsibilities:
1. Oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.
2. Manage and maintain the company's fixed assets register, ensuring accurate tracking, recording, and depreciation of assets.
3. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
4. Participate in budget preparation and financial forecasting, providing insights and recommendations to management.
5. Ensure compliance with state and federal tax filing requirements by coordinating with tax advisors.
6. Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls and financial procedures.
7. Participate in financial audits, collaborating with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
8. Provide guidance to junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment.
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and business performance.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification will be considered an advantage.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
3. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with advanced Excel skills.
4. Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience with fixed assets management.
5. Excellent analytical skills with a thorough attention to detail.
6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present financial information and complex financial concepts to non-financial associates.
7. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
9. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in mentoring or supervising a team.
