About the Job
- In addition to financial reporting responsibilities, Senior Accountant will prepare/review journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations
- Analyze balance sheet account fluctuations period over period and identify and support root cause of fluctuations
- Schedule and facilitate meetings with internal business owners that impact the responsible accounting areas
- Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the accounting systems required to complete the activities for this role; Be a subject matter expert on these systems and related processes including acting as the point person for system changes impacting accounting areas
- As a Senior Accountant, you will assist with the preparation of financial statements, which includes related support, flux analyses, and summary schedules for leadership
- Prepare audit schedules and various analyses and review other similar data prepared by the finance team
- Research and document applicable accounting treatment for certain business transactions
- Assist with ad-hoc requests both internally and externally
- Prepare cash flow and compile related documentation
- Review support prepared by other departments for financial reporting pack and work cross functionally to ensure the schedules provided align with the consolidated parent company reporting
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's degree in Accounting or MBA preferred
- Licenses/Certifications: CPA required; Candidates would be considered if currently in process to get certified
- Minimum Experience: 2-3 years of public accounting preferably with retail or real estate industry exposure
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to foster teamwork and build collaborative relationships
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with an attention for detail
- Ability to work with little to no supervision
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Technical accounting abilities
- Strong comfort with Microsoft Office; Exposure to Oracle a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
