We are on the hunt for a seasoned Senior Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, high-performance environment, where you will be exposed to a diverse range of accounting functions. Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for:
1. Overseeing all general ledger transactions and ensuring their accuracy and compliance with the accounting standards.
2. Preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial statements to ensure their accuracy and completeness.
3. Managing the company's budgeting process, including forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting.
4. Processing payroll in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring all payroll transactions are properly recorded in the general ledger.
5. Managing the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and all balances are reconciled.
6. Performing account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of the general ledger.
7. Assisting with the preparation of year-end audit materials and tax returns.
8. Identifying opportunities for process and procedure improvements and implementing these changes.
9. Providing guidance and support to junior accounting staff.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Accountant position should possess the following:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the finance industry.
3. Strong knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
4. Proven experience with general ledger functions, including account reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll processing.
5. Proficiency in budgeting and forecasting.
6. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex financial information and provide accurate and timely financial reports.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
9. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
10. CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
