Salary: $75,000 - $115,000 per year

Our client, a growing manufacturing firm, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing team.

Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing all aspects of inventory accounting, including valuation, obsolescence, and physical inventory reconciliations.
2. Performing month-end closings, preparing and posting journal entries, and ensuring the accuracy of the general ledger.
3. Conducting account reconciliations, identifying discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions.
4. Assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
5. Collaborating with internal and external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
6. Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
7. Providing guidance to junior accounting staff and reviewing their work for accuracy.
8. Participating in the budgeting and forecasting processes.
9. Staying updated on industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance across all financial functions.
Job Details
Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on inventory accounting, month-end closings, and reconciliations. Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred.
3. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
4. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Exceptional analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
7. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly and concisely.
8. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
