We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with a focus on Accounts Payable, General Ledger, bank reconciliations, and payment verification. This role is a key player in our finance team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data, and providing critical support to our financial operations. This is a permanent position that offers excellent opportunities for professional growth and development.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, you will:
1. Manage the full cycle of Accounts Payable including invoice processing, payment verification, and vendor management.
2. Maintain and reconcile the General Ledger and subsidiary ledgers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
3. Perform bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
4. Oversee payroll processing and administration, including 401K contributions and benefits.
5. Utilize Sage 300 software for financial management and reporting.
6. Prepare and submit SEC filings in accordance with regulatory requirements.
7. Conduct internal audits to assess financial status and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
8. Perform account analyses and provide detailed financial reports to management.
9. Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis, including vlookups and pivot tables.
10. Use the Microsoft Office suite to prepare and present financial reports and presentations.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience with Accounts Payable, General Ledger, bank reconciliations, and payment verification.
3. Proficiency in Sage 300 or equivalent financial management software.
4. Experience with SEC filings and audit procedures.
5. Strong skills in account analyses and financial reporting.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including vlookups and pivot tables.
7. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
8. Experience in payroll administration, including 401K and benefits.
9. A strong understanding of ACH transactions.
10. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
11. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
12. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
