Responsibilities
As a Senior Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing all general ledger transactions and ensuring their accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
2. Preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
3. Conducting detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and potential areas for improvement.
4. Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, as well as monitoring actual results against these projections.
5. Performing account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of all financial data.
6. Collaborating with other departments to streamline financial processes, improve efficiency, and contribute to the overall financial strategy of the company.
7. Staying updated on industry trends and changes in financial regulations to ensure the company's compliance.
8. Participating in the development and implementation of financial systems and processes to support the company's growth.
9. Providing support during audits and liaising with external auditors as required.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, the candidate must possess the following:
1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA designation is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
3. Profound knowledge of financial reporting, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, general ledger, and account reconciliation.
4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide meaningful insights.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
6. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
7. High level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
8. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
