POSITION SUMMARY:
Join us as our Full-Time Senior Accountant and bring your analytical expertise and precise work to a team that values accuracy and consistency. Reporting directly to the VP of Accounting, you will play an essential role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of Resort Group and its managed associations. This position offers you the autonomy to lead complex financial processes, support a high-performing accounting team, and make a tangible impact on the organization’s stability and success.
In this position, you will manage financial reporting, conduct comprehensive audits, and perform critical financial analysis while also mentoring junior accountants. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee financial record maintenance, cost analyses, and rate studies, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.
- Manage a portfolio of associations, meeting critical deadlines and producing accurate financial statements and reports.
- Review and approve AP, AR, journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly audits, ensuring accuracy and performance across financial accounts.
- Direct workflow for accounting staff, providing clear guidance on transaction posting, priorities, and deadlines.
- Train and guide the accounting team and association managers on accounting tasks, ensuring support and leadership in the Director’s absence.
- Coordinate and review external audits, tax filings, and budget preparations, serving as a financial representative in HOA meetings as needed.
- Maintain owner information and HOA financial processes, including ACH, estoppels, collections, and external reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, with four or more years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language Ability: Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting financial reports and legal documents, with the ability to respond professionally to inquiries from clients, regulatory agencies, or business partners.
- Math Skills: Skilled in calculating discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages; comfortable applying basic algebraic concepts.
- Reasoning Skills: Strong analytical abilities to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; able to interpret complex technical instructions and handle both abstract and concrete variables.
- Computer Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Office, VMS, QuickBooks, Track, and PDF software.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Annual Salary: $60,000 - $77,000 based on experience and achievement

Schedule: Regular business hours Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with the flexibility to work overtime as needed.
