We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing team. This individual will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing all aspects of our company's financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards and principles.
2. Coordinate and daily bookkeeping and accounting tasks for our three brands.
3. Perform variance analysis to understand the cause of differences between budgeted and actual results and provide recommendations for improvements.
4. Oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and collections.
5. Record monthly inventory movements and reconcile inventory balances to our ERP system.
6. Review and approve biweekly payroll.
7. Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and prevent fraud.
8. Reconcile income from multiple payment providers to our bank and general ledger
9. Monitor bank and credit card accounts daily and work with business leaders to ensure accurate accounting of business expenses..
10. Mentor and develop junior accounting staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
3. Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
4. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.
5. Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
6. Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
7. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in clear and concise terms.
9. Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop staff.
10. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
11. Knowledge of local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations.
12. Working knowledge of basic accounting statements, P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement required
13. Experience working in either a manufacturing or ecommerce company.
