Overview:The Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring the effective management of food and beverage costs within an organization. It is expected to work closely with the F&B team to monitor inventory levels, analyse costs, and develop strategies for cost reduction. Responsibilities includes maintaining accurate records and providing timely financial reporting.
This role will pay a salary of $80,000 to $100,000.

About the Venue:Peak is a premium restaurant located on the 101st floor of 30 Hudson Yards, in a State-of-the-Art building with panoramic views and situated above Edge, the highest outdoor observation deck in the city. A luxurious destination with breath-taking views of lower New York City.
Responsibilities:Main duties and responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain cost control procedures for all food and beverage operations;
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure that food and beverage costs are within budget;
- Work closely with the F&B team to analyse costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction;
- Develop and implement strategies for cost reduction, such as portion control, menu engineering, and waste reduction;
- Maintain accurate records of all food and beverage purchases, inventory levels, and costs;
- Provide timely financial reporting to management, including cost analysis and variance reporting;
- Provide training and support to F&B staff on cost control procedures and best practices;
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and regulations;
- Assist with special projects as assigned by management;
Occasional Duties:
- To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned or as dictated by unexpected business levels.
• At least 3 years of experience in F&B cost control or a related field.
• Strong analytical and financial skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cost control software Adaco.
