Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and execute the month-end close process with precision, ensuring all journal entries are prepared and posted accurately and on time.
- Analyze and review general ledger accounts to maintain accuracy and integrity.
- Prepare monthly accruals, prepaids, and adjustments in alignment with GAAP.
- Reconcile critical balance sheet accounts, including cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, prepaids, and accrued expenses.
- Investigate variances and resolve reconciling items promptly to ensure accurate financial statements.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Deliver insightful variance analysis and commentary on significant changes in financial performance.
- Prepare audit schedules and documentation to support external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize and document accounting procedures.
- Maintain compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory standards in all financial activities.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong emphasis on month-end close and general ledger management.
- Experience in public accounting and/or corporate accounting is highly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks) and Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and clear presentation of financial insights.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting REQUIRED
