Senior Accountant Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant with a strong background in external audits and public accounting to join our client's dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in complex accounting tasks and be a key reviewer in their financial reporting process, ensuring accuracy and compliance before submitting to our external audit team.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and relevant regulations.
- Complex Accounting Tasks: Handle advanced accounting functions, including but not limited to revenue recognition, inventory valuation, fixed assets, and cost accounting.
- External Audit Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, providing necessary documentation and ensuring a smooth audit process.
- Review and Quality Control: Review financial documents and reports prepared by junior accountants to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Compliance and Controls: Adhere to internal controls and comply with financial regulations; participate in the development and maintenance of financial policies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, procurement, and senior management, to provide financial insights and support business decisions.
- Mentoring: Provide guidance and training to junior accounting staff, fostering professional growth and enhancing team capabilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in public accounting or external audit exposure.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
- Experience in the manufacturing sector is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ERP systems) and MS Excel.
