Job Description:

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations.

Overview of the Senior Accountant Role:

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
• Prepare and review financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, ensuring all financial data is accurate and timely.
• Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Perform regular audits and reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.

Preferred Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
