Responsibilities:
1. Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.
2. Perform monthly, quarterly and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, coordination and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary.
3. Analyze and report on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management, budget preparation and analysis.
4. Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
5. Oversee taxes and abide by federal regulations.
6. Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, perpetual inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general & entity accounting, cost accounting, Human Resources, and Operations etc.
7. Develop and manage financial systems and policies.
8. Control and forecast income and expenditure.
9. Create and enhance financial models and methodologies, including cost, allocation models to enable business partners to make informed decisions.
Qualifications:
1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. An MBA, CPA, or CMA is preferred.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
3. Strong understanding of financial reporting, financial analysis, general ledger, cost accounting, and fixed asset management.
4. Proficiency with accounting software, databases and MS Office.
5. Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
6. Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
7. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
8. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
9. Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
10. High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
